Coach is considering a switch from 4-4-2 to either 4-1-4-1 or a triple midfield option but 4-4-2 is the default option... Sevilla quest to become only the second team ever to retain the UEFA Cup... Sevilla won last meeting between the sides 3-1... Sevilla go into this match with a near-full squad but plenty of pressure as they look to efend their UEFA Cup title. After a close-fought but deserved 2-1 win over Recreativo in La Liga, Sevilla are back in the title hunt, but this match in Glasgow will take precedent. Sevilla have a nearly full squad available; Drago (sp) will miss out due to suspension, but with David (r) available to play at left back, this isn't a major issue. Elsewhere in defence, Javi Navarro (k) was rested in La Liga to play here, and could line up with Aitor Ocio (sp) or less likely Escude (r), while Alves (k) will play right-back if he's not chosen to move into midfield. Speaking of midfield, the coach has experimented with three in the middle, and with 4-1-4-1 - a big change from Sevilla's usual 4-4-2. However, should he go 4-4-2, Renato (r) may join Poulsen (r) to add another patient, defensive option to the middle of the pitch, while Navas (r) - a stand-out in last year's final - should play on the right with Puerta (sp) perhaps on the left. Adriano (r) has travelled with the squad but is not 100% likely to start. Should the team go 4-1-4-1, Renato (r) would play in defensive midfield, with Maresca (sp) potentially hoping to repeat his goalscoring exploits from the weekend - while he is not certain to start in the more likely 4-4-2, he will hope to be involved at some point. This would probably make Fredi Kanoute (k) the lone striker. He's Sevilla's top scorer this season, and would thus play ahead of Luis Fabiano (r), and Kerzhakov (sp), who betrayed his recent form to have a rather lacklustre game against Recreativo. That said, 4-4-2 being more likely, Luis Fabiano (r) is indeed likely to take part with Fredi. Regardless of the formation, Sevilla have a strong squad available and the favourites will look to defend their title without conceding.
