In Brief

Barcelona have no suspensions for this Clasico. They are missing the injured Samuel Umtiti, Thomas Vermaelen and Lionel Messi.

Looking Back

Ahead of this weekend’s LaLiga match, Barcelona were in action on Wednesday as they hosted Inter in the Champions League, a match which they won 2-0.

In LaLiga, they ended a four-match winless streak last time out by defeating Sevilla 4-2.

Looking Ahead

There are no Barcelona players out of this match with suspension.

Star man Lionel Messi is out of this match with an arm injury. Logically, he is irreplaceable, but Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele are the main candidates to take his spot in the team.

Starting centre-back Samuel Umtiti is out with a knee injury. As such, Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet should form the central defensive pairing.

Fourth-choice centre-back Thomas Vermaelen is also out with injury, in his case a muscle injury.

Points of Interest

Barcelona's recent results at home to Real Madrid haven't been that great, as they've not won any of their past four home Clasicos, drawing two and losing two.

In Brief

Real Madrid have no suspensions for this one. They're missing the injured Dani Carvajal and Jesus Vallejo.

Looking Back

Ahead of this weekend’s LaLiga match, Real Madrid were in action on Tuesday as they hosted Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League. While they didn't overly convince in the 2-1 win, they did manage to end their five-match winless streak.

Looking Ahead

Vinicius Junior was due to be suspended for this match after being sent off with the B team last weekend, but that suspension has been overturned on appeal and he is available. That said, he is still unlikely to feature.

Starting right-back Dani Carvajal remains out injured, with a calf injury. In midweek, Julen Lopetegui started right winger Lucaz Vazquez on the right of defence instead of backup right-back Alvaro Odriozola, but Odriozola is the most likely replacement for this weekend's game.

Backup centre-back Jesus Vallejo is ruled out with a thigh injury.

Starting left-back Marcelo suffered a knock to his ankle in the midweek game, but tests have shown that it is not serious and he is expected to be fit enough to play.

Backup centre-forward Mariano couldn't complete training on Thursday due to a knock, but he has since recovered and is available.

Points of Interest

Julen Lopetegui remains in charge for now and is expected to remain in charge for this match at the Camp Nou, even if the pressure continues to build on him.
