FC Midtjylland lost the home leg 3-1.... They won 2-0 against Aarhus GF last Sunday and are playing well.... Strongest possible squad will be fielded in search for a miracle.... Christian Olsen (sp)(att) out.... FC Midtjylland out played Lokotiv Moscow in the first hour of the 1st leg, but they missed several huge chances and instead the Russians hit them on the counter attack and secured a healthy lead before the 2nd leg. Midtjylland have been playing well this season and they are 2nd in the SAS League a single point behind FC Copenhagen. Their away form has not been good though with only a single win in 5 games and they will need to perform to the maximum of their abilities if they are to threaten Lokomotiv Moscow in their own back yard. The FC Midtjylland squad is filled with exciting attacking talent and manager Erik Rasmussen will field his strongest possible formation in search of the three goals FC Midtjylland as a minimum needs. Defenders Troest (r) and Klimpl (r) missed the win against Aarhus GF due to suspension and they will form the central defence with the pacy Christoffer Poulsen (r) and Afriyie (r) on the backs. Winger Simon Poulsen (k) has been magnificent this season and has just been called up to the Danish national side. He will start on the left with either Danny Olsen (r) or Madsen (sp) playing on the right. Upfront Baba Collins and Kristensen k) will form the attack although Dadu (sp) is pushing for a starting place after a couple of fine performances. FC Midtjylland’s limited European experience was obvious in the 1st leg but here it should not have great influence as it will not be a tactical battle but more of an all out attacking visiting side. Pacy forward Christian Olsen (sp) has been left in Denmark due to an injury picked up in training, but he is currently 4th in the attacking pecking oreder, so his absence does not weaken the side.
