Only a win in seven games of local competition, all three home games are draws….a defeat in the first game of group stage by Everton but a success in the qualifying stage in the ties versus Blackburn….a stable squad….The Greek cup holder Larissa has started their Euro campaign by aggregate win over England Blackburn 3-2, they were better in home match and won it 2-0 having a lot of chances to score even more goals, the match in England was not as easy as at home but Larissa could open in that game and Blackburn was unable to score four goals. The first Matchday game of group stage of Larissa was again in England and they were beaten there by Everton, 3-1 and in that game Larissa had no chances to get something more because of Everton could score two goals quite easy and when Larissa had reduced the deficit till one goal Everton had no problems to double the lead again. In the Greek championship Larissa could win only one game and it was a first tour match, after it Larissa drew three games and lost three. All three home games of Larissa in the Greek competition were draws. Larissa’s manager Giorgos Donis prefers to play with three forwards and the spearhead of the attacking trio is experienced goalscorer Ibrahima Bakayoko (k). Larissa has a stable line up and goalkeeper Kotsolis (r) has a plenty of work with his mediocre back line. Larissa has three injured players for this game and there are Anastasious Venetis (sp), Bachramis (sp) and fast forward Kozlej (r). Larissa has problems in the local championship and this game is not as important for them as the local competition so by Greek papers the manager of the team can rest some basical players like: defeneder Dabizas (r), forwards Bakayoko (r) or Silva (r).
