He knows as well that against the real European top teams, his men don’t have enough qualities. After all, Waregem also lost to Ajax and Espanyol this season. On top of that, the Waregem coach has an impressive list of unavailable players to cope with. In goal, Pieter Merlier® still has to replace Geert De Vlieger®, who is injured. Stijn Minne® and Nathan D’Haemers® are still out as well. They were already injured when Waregem beat Belgian top team Standard Liège 3-1 this week. However, for the encounter with Newcastle Tosin Dosunmu(k) is not eligible to play either. The Nigerian already participated in the UEFA-cup with Nancy before he joined Waregem during the winter break. Stijn Meert® will take his place. In midfield, Ludwin Van Nieuwenhuyze® took a red card against Ajax. He will be suspended. It is uncertain who will replace the defensive midfielder, but Jonas Vandermarleire(sp) seems to have the best chances. In any case the absence of Van Nieuwenhuyze is a serious loss for Waregem. Just like Waregem's other European matches, this game will be played at the stadion of AA Gent. Waregem's Regenboogstadion doesn't live up to UEFA's standards for European games.
