The Romanians suffered a defeat in their debut in the UEFA Cup as the Serbian champions came from behind to win it 2:1. The defeat was a blow for Dusan Uhrin and the ambitious owner but they believe that the tie is not dead yet and they could grab an unlikely aggregate win. The hopes are that the team will show a little bit more efficiency in the final third and do not make stupid mistakes at the back as the ones in the first leg. Uhrin is expected to make a few changes in the starting 11 for the upcoming clash as he will aim to freshen things up. Dorin Goga is pushing for a start up front and Dejan Rusic may make way as a result. Goga scored during the weekend in the 2:0 win away at Poli Iasi and will be high on confidence. The team maintained their fine league form with a solid win on the road and now the same will be expected even though Partizan will provide a stiffer challenge. Eder Bonfim is also pushing for a start at the right-back while Stelian Stancu may get the nod ahead of Abiodun Agunbiade on the right wing. Uhrin will aim for a sharper display and will hope that some changes can make his team a bit more dangerous. The squad is almost full-strength with the exception of first-choice keeper Marius Popa who is out for the long term. The players will aim to deliver a strong display and push Partizan all the way even if they do not manage to qualify.
