Though three second half goals set things straight for the Nijmegen outfit who played a very disciplined game again. Experienced midfielder Radomksi pulled the game level five minutes after the break and for a long time the sides seem to be sharing the points. Ten minutes before full time NEC earned a penalty however. El Akchaoui converted the spot kick and Saidi even made it three in the dying seconds. Manager Been will probably sent the same players in the field as he did last weekend. The Nijmegen squad has been steadily playing in the same formation and the team has very quickly grown into a nice whole, despite having to fit in several new players. In defense Zomer has taken over Otten's position. The former Twente player has the most experience on the European stage of all four defenders. On midfield Radomski and Schone have replaced Holman and Vadocz, who transfered out. Especially the former brings a lot of calmness to the squad. He is the most experienced on midfield. In the attack two players will start with barely any experience on the European stage. The strong Van Beukering will be the target up front while the quick and unpredictable Saidi will play around him. Manager Been decided to field three quick forwards rather than two on the side and the more static Van Beukering in the middle. NEC's top scorer will start from the bench as Janssen comes on instead.
