Burton made a very slow start to last season but once changing managers in early September things improved fast. Experienced at this level boss Maarmia brought fresh tactics and new solutions that worked well for the Brewers. In the end Burton had their safety secured with 3 games to spare and they enjoyed the final run-in without feeling any pressure. The constantly declining financial situation of the club is an ongoing challenge though. Burton already sold their 2 most valuable players in January. The off loading of top talent continued in the summer too. Already 4 of the regulars from last season have been sold. It’s been a very busy summer for Maarmia already with 11 players leaving and 10 new arriving, this even before July is out. The Tunisian is desperately trying to find cheap alternatives to the experienced warriors that keep departing. With the finances of the team not forecasted to improve it will be a tough season to come for the Brewers. Still, in Maarmia they have one of the best managers in the division. Can he cast his magic again and lead the team to safety against the odds? It seems a lot will depend on how many more of the valuable squad members will be sold in the next few weeks for Burton to try and balance their books better.

Target

Staying out of the trouble is the only task. It will be a hard battle, especially if the finances deteriorate further.
