It was another memorable season for the Celtic supporters as they secured a famous double-treble under the seemingly imperious Brendan Rodgers. Whilst question marks were consistently asked about their indifferent form on occasions last season, Rodgers' Celtic refused to be overawed when it came to the big occasion. Huge wins against Rangers at key times in the campaign provided them with timely boosts to get the Hoops over the edge again. Supporters will be looking for that domestic dominance to continue, whilst hopefully seeing their side battle through the even tougher route to the Champions League this season. Celtic have four qualifiers to play, and are already looking strong after knocking out Alashkert in the first round. Transfer activity has been slow, however. With just Lewis Morgan and Odsonne Edouard coming in permanently since the summer, Celtic are yet to really splash out on additional quality to add to last season's squad. The loss of Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts did initially leave some gaps in quality in the side. However, Olivier Ntcham is looking back to his best, whilst Forrest has started the qualifiers in the kind of form that kept Roberts out of the side last season. Rodgers also appears to be working on a new 3-5-2 system to blow domestic opposition away. The early signs have been extremely promising, with Edouard and Dembele both hitting it off as a partnership up front. The Hoops look like they have more freedom in their new style, and have returned to action with a spring in their step and a menacing look to their attacking play. An additional defender would be welcome for supporters, as concern is growing about the form of Jozo Simunovic and Mikael Lustig. Rodgers appears to be happy with both, however, with Dedryck Boyata also sure to come into the side when he returns from his post-World Cup break. Whilst added quality for Europe would be welcome ahead of the new season, there's no doubt Celtic have what it takes already to make this another season to remember.

Target

Another treble will once again be the target. However, improvement in performances in the Champions League group stages would be a massive boost for the club. Getting there is the primary goal as always.
