Having finished last season with some great performances, Akhisar Belediye fans hope their team can stretch their positive run into this campaign. As expected, the board decided to keep working with coach Okan Buruk. During the summer transfer market, the club suffered a huge loss in Ricardo Vaz Te who scored 25 goals last season. In order to replace him, Paulo Henrique was signed in. He has played in the Super Lig before, which could be considered as an advantage. However, he was injured a lot last season so it may take time for him to produce the expected performances. With that in mind, it would be better for the club to bring in one more attacker just in case. Ozer Hurmaci has asked the board for permission to leave so the club need to act fast in order to find a decent replacement. Miguel Lopes' loan spell came to an end but the board did a great job by signing him on a permanent deal. Unfortunately, Custódio ended his professional career. Eray Ataseven was signed in to flll that gap along with Alperen Babacan. Since the duo came from first division teams, the fans criticized the board’s policy. Besides them, Helder Barbosa’s arrival will come with a big question mark as he did not have enough game time whilst playing in UAE last season. In goal, the team looks secure as they still have Milan Lukač, Fatih Öztürk and Bora Körk. Meanwhile, in defence, there were no major departures and the coach seems assured about that area of his squad. Ahead of the new season, Akhisar Belediy's attack seems the only real handicap at the moment. If they can manage to bring in the necessary players, they can reach their goals.
