Vaduz are coming from a decent season, given that they managed to secure their Super League survival for the second season running. Their campaign was similar to the one from the 2014/15 season, as they once again played some good football, onyl to be repeatedly frustrated by their inability to turn their good performances into goals. Armando Sadiku, a man who played a key role in their survival, is no longer with the club, as Vaduz have been unable to turn his loan stay from Zurich into a permanent move. Other notable palyers to have left are Nick von Niederhausern and Florian Stahel, but the Liechtensteiners have been rather active on the transfer market and have brought in a number of players, with Gonzalo Zarate and Matthias Stohmaier looking like the most interesting ones out of the lot. However, with Zarate naturally being a winger, it is clear that Vaduz have not addressed their main weakness, which is their lack of a quality number nine player capable of converting the chances that they create. This means that Vaduz are set to once again be a rather unbalanced side, with a strong midfield, a defence that could be better and a strike force desperately short of quality. This formula was enough for them to stay up in the previous two seasons and, with so many sides looking like possible relegation candidates this time around, Giorgio Contini will feel that his side definitely have enough quality to stay up yet again.

Target

They will be looking to stay up with less drama than last season. They should realistically expect to finish anywhere between sixth and tenth.
