From MLS Finalists in 2022 Austin turned into a team that failed to even make the top 10 in their Conference a year later. With only 2 wins in the first 11 rounds (D4 L5) the writing was always on the cards for the Texans. After a stellar season with 22 goals in 2022 Sebastian Driussi failed to replicate this form last season and, with nobody else stepping up in attack, Austin really struggled to accumulate enough points. The other big problems were prolonged injuries to many of the foreign stars and Austin will hope for much better luck with the health of their squad this season. Hopes are that Driussi will return to his form from 2022 this season, with veteran strikers Zardes and Rubio (new signing) also challenged to be doing much more inside the box. It seems that despite the poor last season Austin are happy to give the same core of regulars another chance to prove themselves.

Target

The goal is to get back into the post-season. Have the team to do it but can they start scoring more goals.
