Expecting to challenge for the title, BK Hacken suffered a horrible start to last season. Although they recovered, they also ended the season poorly and finished in 12th place. Manager Andreas Alm was replaced in June by Per-Mathias Hogmo and results began to improve, but motivation was a problem towards the end of the season. BK Hacken have lost several important players over the winter. Flying winger Walemark has gone to Feyenoord for a record fee. Defensive rocks Ekpolo and Toivio have gone to IFK Norkopping and HJK Helsinki respectively and Lindgren has retired. Left-back Sverrisson is now at Varbergs Bois. Several others with significant experience have also been farmed out on loan: Adjoumani, Brattberg, Heintz and Shahin. Filling the gaps in defence are signings: Hovland, Totland, Tebo, Lagerlund and Hodzic. Highly experienced Rygaard joins the midfield along with prospects Uddenas, Romeo and Sadiq. However, it is significant they have yet to strengthen the attack. With Walemark gone, only Jeremejeff is a recognised striker of any note. Unless he quickly finds form, they will struggle for goals. Overall, BK Hacken have lost some important players in all areas of the field. Apart from one or two, the replacements are unproven and they need more options in attack.

Target

A return to the top positions and challenging for Europe. Another slow start will kill their season.
