Norrkoping finished in 7th place last season, especially because they had a streak of 4 winless matches at the end. There was a lot of disappointment as it was the 4th consecutive season that IFK finished in a lower position than the exact previous season. Norrkoping were having the top goalscorer of Allsvenskan, Samuel Adegbenro who scored 17 goals, but the problem is that the player will not play for the team this season as he was sold to China on February. In plus, starting caliber players like Castegren, Franson and Bjork are also out of the team. In total the abovementioned players totalled 25 out of 44 goals scored by the team. So many changes in the starting lineup mean tough work for coach Norling who brought experienced defender Jean Carlos from Varbergs and also Eman Markovic from Start to replace the key performance of Adegbenro. But it won't be easy at all to replace the Nigerian top goalpoacher. Another issue that coach Norling has to find a solution to is the very poor performance of the team in away matches as they had 9 losses in 15 matches on the road last season. With such performance there's no way that the team can finish in a European spot.

Target

A ticket for European Competitions should be the main target for Norrkoping but a top 5 finish would be a more realistic target
