It is never easy to face up to life in a new division, but Bolton Wanderers must adapt quickly to Championship football in order to secure a swift return to the top flight. Trotters boss Owen Coyle remains firmly in the hot seat at the Reebok Stadium and has been able to add new faces to his squad in the close season. The departure of long-serving keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has seen the arrival of Leeds stopper Andy Lonergan, while defender Matt Mills and goalscoring midfielder Keith Andrews will also add purpose to the spine of the Bolton team. Wanderers still have plenty of Premier League experience within their squad and will prove a very tough nut to crack with the likes of Kevin Davies, Martin Petrov and David Ngog, all players to have played at the highest level and the biggest occasions. It has been over a decade since Bolton last played at second tier level and their success will depend on how they cope with being a big fish in a smaller pond.
