Brighton and Hove Albion enjoyed a fantastic first season back in the Championship under the managership of Gus Poyet. The Seagulls looked odds on to book a place in the playoffs before a late slump in form put paid to any hopes of a second successive promotion. Poyet has continued to add to his squad over the course of the summer with a couple of impressive captures in the shape of former Manchester United keeper, Tomasz Kuszczak and Manchester City left back Wayne Bridge on loan. Albion have played an attractive and expansive style of football under Poyet and will certainly be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. Their home form was the bedrock of their promotion hopes last term and they will be hoping for a similarly good record at the Amex Stadium, backed by an increased capacity crowd of 30,000. The element of surprise as the division's new boys has certainly elapsed so it will be interesting to see how Brighton cope as known quantities.

Target

Rebuild from the disappointment of missing out on the top six last season with a renewed playoff bid for 2012/13.
