Highly disappointing season after riding high in 2nd for most of the first half the season they collasped on the final day before the split to finish in the bottom half of the table for the fourth year in a row. The abrupt manager resignation and conceding after taking leads contributed to their downfall. New manager brings new life to the club with Gi-dong Kim one of the best in the league having enjoyed much success with Pohang. They have been slow to bring in players but resigning Sung-yueng Ki and the exciting addition of Jesse Lingard has everyone talking about FC Seoul. There are clear gaps in the team's squad like at centre back and midfield so they are still in the market for those positions. The fitness of Lingard and attitude will be key to see how well he and the club does at the start of the season. As well as the team's adaption to the new manager The new manager is very highly rated and a marked improvement on their recent appointments. Their squad is one of the best in the league as well and they have been underperforming for a number of years. The return of Young-wook Cho is sure to add more fire power up top. Defence is an area that will require improvement. Last year the team dropped a lot of points from winning positions as a result of dropping too deep and the loss of Han-beom Lee mid-season was another factor. Still looking for a centre back so they need to rectify this.
