Tukkers are coming from an excellent season, well above the rosiest expectations. They finished in 4th place, overtaking much more accredited teams such as AZ Alkmaar and Vitesse, and therefore reached an unexpected qualification for the preliminary rounds of the Conference League. The main architect of the success was certainly coach Ron Jans, confirmed on the bench also this season, who usually field the squad with an attacking 4-2-3-1 system of play. Things didn't go quite as well in KNVB Beker where, after eliminating Feyenoord, they were kicked out by AZ in the round of 16. Apart from forward Dimitrios Limnios, back to Koln for the end of loan, transfers did not involve regular players, which means that coach Jans will have all the best players from last season, plus some new arrivals. After all, the team already appeared complete and competitive, the main efforts concerned in particular the permanent purchase of Michal Sadilek and Michel Vlap who past season were on loan. The roster has been expanded with the arrival of three interesting youngsters such as Sem Steijn, attacking midfielder from ADO Den Haag, Greek Christos Tzolis from Norwich and midfielder Mathias Kjölö from PSV U21.

Target

Given that the team is well established, the players know each other and know the coach's tactics well, they seem to have all the potential to repeat last excellent season. They only lack depth in the roster.
