Midfielder Wagner is looking to prove himself to eventually break into the Freiburg side and talented goalkeeper Urbig should challenge Linde for the number one spot. Other new recruits also boost the quality of the squad. Consbruch was one of Arminia Bielefeld’s better players last season and can bring an extra dimension to their midfield while Srbeny is an intelligent striker brought in from Paderborn. Christiansen, Raschl, and Griesbeck have all moved on but Furth look better equipped this time out. Zorniger should have them organised and tough to beat. Key-man Hrgota is still around so they will be a threat going forward. Furth must improve on the road if they are to challenge further up the table and their weakness could be in defence with a lack of new purchases in that area.
