Incheon narrowly escaped relegation in 2019 after finishing tenth. The troubles started from the off with the team winning just 1 of their opening 14 games. It was exactly the lack of wins (only 7 in 38 rounds) that kept the heat on all campaign. Incheon are lacking creativity in the middle of the park and they are also known for having problems keeping the ball when they have to chase games. However, in Montenegrin striker Mugosa they have reliable goalscorer and if the service to him is decent he has proven he can provide the goods. Also Mahazi established as important anchor-man in midfield after joining last summer, but he is more into breaking opponents’ attacks than starting such for his team. This task might fall on the shoulders of the most prominent winter arrival Jun-beom Kim. He is set to start most games and despite being only 22-years-old he already has 50+ K-League games and hopes are that his pedigree will only keep growing. Nigerian striker Kehinde was late addition to the squad after it became obvious the season won’t start when it had to and despite his short time in Korea he is seen as interesting alternative up front for the rare cases in which Incheon opt to use 2 strikers.
