Lausanne are back in the top flight after a two-year absence and qualified after winning the second division the last time around. Newly-promoted sides usually have a combination of players unproven in the top flight and those who have played in the Super League without really establishing themselves. However, this is not really the case with Les Bleus, as they have a wealth of top flight experience in their squad in players such as Simone Rapp, Stjepan Kukuruzovic and Christian Schneuwly, while the likes of Elton Monteiro and Nicolas Getaz were stalwarts in their defence during their previous stay in the top flight. Moreover, Lausanne have a rather proven top-flight manager in Giorgio Contini, previously of Vaduz and St.Gallen, who is known for getting his side to be solid and to punch above their weight in the top flight. Two relatively regular players have left in Alex Pasche and Dan Ndoye, but Lausanne went for quality rather than quantity in attack, bringing in the likes of Rafik Zekhnini , Moritz Jenz and the already mentioned Rapp. The former two men will have their first crack at Swiss football but are expected to see considerable playing time. All in all, Lausanne looked as equipped for lift in the top flight as a newly-promoted side can be and will be aiming to stay in the division.

Target

They will be aiming for midtable safety.
