QPR started slowly last season but finished strongly to finish ninth. They were in the top six of the form table for the second half of the campaign. Their main transfer dealing this summer has been keeping the loan players that did well for them last season. Striker Austin was a big reason for their rise up the table, after joining in January, he scored eight times in 19 starts. He has been signed permanently, as has centre-back de Wijs along with fans favourite Johansen and composed young central midfielder Field (Field has been ruled out for 3 to 4 months with a knee injury). They have bolstered their defence with centre-back Dunne and left-back McCallum, who did well in a loan spell at Coventry last season. New recruit Dozzell is similar to Johansen, a playmaker who likes to get on the ball and create, but he has yet to fulfil his potential. There is a feelgood factor at QPR. The club seem to be on a good financial footing and results on the pitch in the second half of last season are cause for optimism. They have had a decent summer transfer window, making shrewd additions and holding onto key assets such as Ilias Chair and Rob Dickie. They do not have massive strength in depth and are largely relying on their players from last season to keep up their good form.

Target

Likely to continue they upward trajectory. Should be looking to challenge for a play-off spot.
