Finished 11th last season, after a very solid performance throughout the entire show. Vozão will play continental competitions thanks to that good season. Lost the final of Cearense State Championship against the usual rivals Fortaleza. Some sensible and interesting new signings for 2021. Messias seems the ideal partner for Luiz Otávio at the back, after an experience in Europe. Gabriel Dias and Marlon were nice poaches from rivals Fortaleza. Jorginho seems tailored to be the playmaker of Vozão, giving Vina more freedom to be closer to goals. In attack, Yony, Stiven Mendoza and Jael are expected to bring Ceará's chance creating up to a new level. Keeping the likes of Vina, Otávio and coach Guto was the best move for the season, as were the foundation of last season's success. Felipe Vizeu will hope to be in better physical conditions this time. Clock is ticking for him to finally live up the promise he was at Flamengo 5 seasons ago.

Target

Avoiding relegation should be the first main concern as usual. But Ceará will want to proved themselves as a Série A definite force, and perhaps will try to push for a top-half position this time.
