FC Dallas had a decent 2019, achieving their minimum aim of making it to the playoffs, despite a major turnover of their roster and installing a new head coach last season, but once again stumbled at the first hurdle in the post-season. Dallas have kept the departures at a minimum this time around with Badji the only player leaving the club who was a regular last season. They have also cleared some of their deadwood though Jacori Hayes will be a miss with the midfielder seen as a potential future regular. They have boosted their offense with the arrival of Fafa Picault from Philadelphia and the winger is expected to provide a major threat down the flanks. Thiago Santos will provide some much needed experience in the center of the midfield while their other major signing, Franco Jara, will only be arriving from Pachuca in the summer. Continuity in the lineup as well as on the sidelines means Dallas will be heading into the new season as a more cohesive unit compared to last time around and the addition of Picault and Santos, and Jara's arrival in the summer, should see the club make it to the playoffs in a far more comfortable fashion. But until Jara arrives, the attack will remain a major weak point which could worsen should Zdenek Ondrasek experience a loss of form or sustain an injury.

Target

Minimal turnover in terms of first choice players should see Dallas start the season as favorites to secure a playoffs spot though Gonzalez will be looking for more in terms of challenging for the top spot
