After a very disappointing season for the Dynamos, as they didn't qualify to the playoffs and they didn't reach even in the Quarter Finals of the US Open Cup, Houston relies their hopes to their new coach Ramos who is expected to show that he can continue his success with USMNT youth teams into an MLS team as well. The good news for Houston is that their star player Alberth Ellis who had 20 goals and 20 assists in the last two season will remain and play for the franchise despite the offers he had from abroad. The same is valid for Mauro Manotas who was unstoppable at home, scoring 10 out of his 13 goals, but lacked of efficiency when Houston were playing on the road. The addition of Darwin Quintero, an experienced goal scoring machine will give even more power to Houston's offensive line. There was also a change in the goalkeeping position as Deric and Wilis left the team while Marko Maric and Cody Cropper will be the new protectors for Dynamo's goalposts.

Target

Playoff Qualification. Houston failed to qualify into playoff stage for the fifth time in six years, so the target this time is very clear.
