A big celebration in the end of the strangest season of all times. FC Porto ended first half of the season 7 points behind rivals but could comfortably lift the trophy in the end. Dragões were never brilliant, though, and benefited mostly from Benfica's sudden blackout during the return. Squad is still under heavy indefinition. Dragões depend on selling to bring new players, but they could only get money for youngster Fábio Silva and Vitinha. Big names like Alex Telles and Corona are expected to be sold so that Porto can have a healthier bank account. Despite not having much money to spend, Azuis-e-Brancos were still competent on the market and brought a couple of very interesting names. Zaidu should be a good replacement for Telles and Taremi will be a reliable talent for the striker position. The big signing however was the young and highly promising Evanilson, arriving from Fluminense after an explosive debut in Brazilian top flight in 2020. The striker is a big prospect for the times to come. The new players may indicate a tendency for Porto to change their style a bit. If The likes of Marega may be losing the influence to more technical oriented players. Still, Porto's trademark fighting character should always be expected as team's most recognizable trait. Porto's moves were no match to their rivals Benfica. Dragões will be underdogs for this one as Benfica's squad seems unusually strong for this season. Nevertheless, Conceição seems to thrive in the underdog position, so this next season should be an interesting one to follow.

Target

No matter the context, Porto will always aim for the title.
