Kidderminster start the season hoping to do better than the last and carry the momentum that almost lifted them to a play-off spot last season. The Harriers were one of the great stories last season when they nearly made it to the top five despite severe financial trouble and point deductions and now will hope for more success on the pitch and less trouble off it. Steve Burr has been great in generating team spirit last season and working with a very small squad and will now aim to repeat the trick and make the Harriers overachieve and make it into the top five. Inevitably, Kiddie also lost three of their best players from last season as Chris McPhee moved to Torquay, flying winger Matty Blair signed a deal at York and skipper Keith Briggs joined Fleetwood. These were all quality players but Burr is eager to build another competitive side and will hope that his new signings blend in quickly and make the team stronger. Kyle Storer is a good player coming from Nuneaton and Marc Williams signed on a permanent deal after having a good loan spell from Wrexham last season. Tom Marshall will definitely improve the defensive side of the team while keeper Danny Lewis will aim for another solid campaign between the sticks. The main worry for Kidderminster is the lack of depth and injuries could really expose the Harriers over the season. Moreover, it may be difficult to really lift the spirits like it happened last season but Burr has shown his ability at doing that and now will aim to break into the play-offs. Nevertheless, the Harriers realistically do not possess the quality of a top-five side and may have to settle for the top instead.

Target

Making the play-offs is the main aim but it will be very difficult and a place in mid-table looks more probable.
