Odd enjoyed one of their best seasons in recent years in 2019 as they nearly got into Europe after being in the top three all year and only a late stumble denied them a place in Europe. Yet it was still an impressive achievement by a small and mostly limited squad. It also proved the last campaign in charge for the long-serving Dag-Eliev Fagermo as the experienced manager moved to Vålerenga for a new challenge, having elevated the Blacks from Skien to some real heights in the last decade. Now his former assistant, Jan Frode Norsnes, takes over as a new manager and faces a massive challenge in keeping the same level of results. Odd, as they usually are, have been quiet on the transfer front and the main new addition is of forward Kachi Ugwuadu, who agreed a move way back last summer. On the other hand, the loss of a few important players in Filip Delaveris and Fredrik Oldrup Jensen, leaves the squad even more bereft of options and cover. There is still undoubted quality in the team, with Torgeir Borven enjoying a brilliant last campaign up front, while players like Joshua Kitolano, Birk Risa and Odin Bjortuft, have bags of potential and may well grow further in the coming campaign.

Target

The top half of the table but another challenge for Europe seems too optimistic.
