County enjoyed an overall good campaign last season. Under experienced coach Malky McKay, the team performed well, making good use of loan players and demonstrating good attacking talents. The team narrowly made the top spot and gained good results against tough opponents. The club lost several key attacking players over summer. Charles-Cook, Spittal and Hungbo all departed, leaving the squad without many of last season's key performers. New additions Dhanda, Akio and Loturi add energy and creativity to the squad but may need some time to adjust. County have lots of depth and experience in defence. The likes of Randall and Iacovitti are long-serving players who provide a good base to build upon. There is also plenty of talent in midfield with Callachan and Cancola providing a good mix of attributes. County are slightly light up front. They lack a proven goal scorer and new forwards do not have a consistent goalscoring record. Hiwula will need to adjust quickly to plug the gap. The team also lacks experience in the goalkeeping spot. The bookies list County as one of the favourites for relegation. But they have enjoyed an excellent pre-season, with results including a 7-0 League Cup win over East Fife. They have plenty of talent and are confident under manager McKay. They will be hopeful of another successful campaign.

5th. Gaining a European spot would be the perfect way to improve on last season's success.
