Sarpsborg were again one of the more interesting and exciting attacking sides last season as their array of flair players in the final third conjured up some excellent football on occasions and made this team quite prolific, with just three teams in the league scoring more than them. However, things are not looking too rosy for Steffen Billborn and the Blues at the moment as they have lost quite a lot of their key players during the off-season and they could be quite tough to replace. Victor Torp and Mikkel Maigaard are the two main losses but Ramon Lundqvist is another one who was quite effective in attacking midfield. The club also moved in to sign a few impressive players, with 56-capped Norwegian international Stefan Johansen the pick of the bunch. He is a player of Premier League experience and should be able to dominate games from midfield despite being on the wrong age of 30. Aimar Sher is quite an interesting signing too as he is back in Scandinavia after making a breakthrough with Hammarby in 2001, before failing to make the step up in Serie A. Sondre Ørjasæter is another good additions as he is just 20 but already has nearly 60 first-team games behind him with Sogndal and was one of the more effective attacking players in the second division last season. Sarpsborg do look like a side that has some interesting pieces and can be again a side hovering in and around the top six but have lost too many important pieces from the starting 11 to feel confident about them.

Target

Looking to make the top six in the standings and try to be attractive attacking proposition again.
