The last couple of seasons were quite positive for Torino as, with coach Ivan Juric in charge, they managed to avoid the fight for survival and, both times, they ended up on the 10th spot. If nothing else, the past campaign ended up with a bitter note as they missed out on a qualification to the Conference League by just 3 points. While they were quite solid defensively, they conceded just 41 goals, Torino were just too poor offensively, as they scored 42 goals only. And that is a problem they will have to solve this season. As usual, coach Juric had a few skirmishes with President Cairo: the former always begs for reinforcements, in order to be able to fight for the European spots, while the latter tends to keep his purse closed tight. During the summer, Torino invested good money in signing permanent deals with Ilic, who did well in the middle of the park, and attacking midfielder Vlasic, their top assist-man with 8. Right-back/winger Bellanova arrived from Cagliari, via Inter, and he could be given a start as Aina left after a forgettable campaign. Moreover, solid midfielder Tameze, who did well at Hellas, could become a protagonist in the middle of the park, especially if Ricci quits. Besides that, they are still on the hunt for an attacking midfielder since Miranchuk, 4 goals and 6 assists, returned to his parent club, Atalanta. With 21-year-old back-up Pellegri too injury-prone, Torino could also do with another striker, since starting Sanabria is not very prolific per se, even though he pulled out his record with 12 goals last season.

Target

Aim at a confirmation among the top 10 and a qualification to the European competitions. But they seem to lack something in terms of overall quality.
