Borussia Dortmund were wonderful last season and not only retained their title with room to spare in the end but also added the German Cup to their list of honours. They will be full of confidence going into this next campaign but will be well aware that another strong challenge will be coming from Bayern Munich in a bid to wrest the championship away from them. Weidenfeller will be solid in goals as usual while the defence, marshalled superbly by Hummels, should be just as strong as previously. There have been no real departures in the defensive side of midfield but in the attack an alteration will be made as Kagawa has been sold to Manchester United. With Kuba, Grosskreutz and Gotze all still in place this area is not exactly weak but with Reus signed from Gladbach there is a world class replacement to compete for a spot as well. The additions of Kirch, Schieber and Bittencourt all boost the squad, if not the first eleven, while Lewandowski is a quality striker to lead the line and will certainly get goals.

Target

Dortmund will want to challenge for the title again and make a greater impact on the Champions League
