Had an underwhelming season last time out, suffering a slow start and struggling to improve after a raft of changes. They were inconsistent against weaker teams and ultimately finishing well adrift of the top six. A poor start saw manager Paul Hecknigbottom depart in November. Jack Ross stabilised the team but still needs time to stamp his authority on the squad. Star man Kamberi's departure on loan turned out to be largely positive, as Greg Docherty's arrival helped bulk out the midfield. Kamberi is set to depart the club permanently in the coming weeks. Postponements due to the pandemic mean Hibs are still in last season's Scottish Cup. They will play Edinburgh rivals Hearts in the semi-finals. This is likely to be their best chance to collect silverware this campaign. Christian Doidge was one of the standouts of last season. He led an impressive Hibs attack and will be key to the club's fortunes this campaign. He had a distinct lack of support last season, but Nisbet could be a good partner after two prolific seasons in the lower leagues. Hibs are certainly a stronger team than last season having lost no key players and brought in solid signings from elsewhere. Gogic is a good addition in defence and Drew Wright adds depth in midfield. Top 6 is definitely within the club's grasp but, with many of the mid range clubs in the league strengthening considerably, anything further will be a big ask.

Target

Top six. Anything less would have to be considered a failure. But a good start and strong performances from new signings could bring top four within reach.
