The 2023 season was very disappointing for Corinthians. The team had four different coaches throughout the year, and none managed to get the team to play quality football. They finished 13th in the league. The squad for 2024 has undergone significant changes. Three of the four starters in the defensive line left the club. Corinthians also reinforced their squad, with notable additions such as new midfielders Raniele, Rodrigo Garro, and Igor Coronado, plus forward Pedro Raul. They had an irregular start to the year and have already replaced coach Cuca with António Oliveira. The midfield sector is looking very promising. New signings Raniele and Rodrigo Garro have been performing well so far. Igor Coronado, Maycon, and the young prospect Breno Bidon are also quality players. On the other hand, the defensive sector raises concerns. The club was counting on Lucas Veríssimo, but he chose to leave the club early in the year. The players brought in for the sector still need to prove themselves in this level. Furthermore, right-back Fágner is no longer the player he once was.
