Blackburn were very much unsettled at the end of last term with the sudden announcement that Paul Lambert would be leaving the club after a very short stint in charge. Lambert was replaced by fellow Scot Owen Coyle and although derided by some has enjoyed a success summer in the transfer market. He has been able to keep hold of Danny Graham, who enjoyed a promising loan spell last term, while Anthony Stokes has arrived from Celtic. Another notable addition has been Liam Feeney who arrives after a period at Bolton. However Coyle has been forced to sell key defender Grant Hanley to Newcastle and it remains to be seen whether he can be replaced. Last season was fairly traumatic and it is difficult to see things picking up with a honeymoon period necessary for both the new manager and his new players.

Target

Blackburn should not be in a relegation battle given their size but survival should be seen as an achievement.
