Nottingham Forest will hope their mountain of problems are over. They are set for a takeover, have appointed Frenchman Philippe Montainer as their new boss and are finally out of a transfer embargo. Montainer has moved to bring in overseas players Apostolos Vellios, Thomas Lam, Damien Perquis and Hildeberto to add a different dimension to Forest who have a large number of home-based players. Britt Assombalonga, the club's record signing, missed the vast majority of last season due to injury but he is now fit and firing on all cylinders again so could be a big player. With so much turmoil over the last couple of the years it is difficult to know what to expect from Forest. However on paper they certainly have the players to push nearer the top and maybe the resources too.
