Dynamo had a very bad season in 2020 as they finished in the 12th place in the West, way out of the playoffs. Despite that, though, coach Ramos remained and he will try to be more succesfull in his second MLS season. Two legendary Houston players, Ellis and Manotas were transferred so there will be a new start for the team. Darwin Quintero, who had 7 goals and 10 assists last year, must be the leader now and he will be helped by players like Matias Vera and Tim Parker. Tim Parker and Joe Corona were the most important acquisitions for Dynamo in the offseason. It seems that the team will be strong enough in the midfield and the defensive area and it remains a question mark whether Lassiter is ready to wear Ellis' or Manotas' boots and replace them at a decent level. So, in general, compared to last year we should expect Houston to be stronger in the defensive edge and weaker in the offensive stage. If coach Ramos finds the perfect balance, then Dynamo can become a pretty decent team in the West.
