A very strange season ended for TFC as they played half of their "home" games in the United States. Despite that, they ended 2nd in the East but they were the victims of a major surprise in the first round of the playoffs as they were eliminated by Nashville. The new season will have a major change as legendary coach Greg Vanney departed and Chris Armas will replace him. But the most important is that Pojuelo remains in the team. The reigning MLS MVP has been a superstar in the league since his debut in 2019. He has 21 goals and 22 assists in 53 MLS matches so far. He was also part of Best XI for both seasons. Most of the players remained in the team so the roster hasn't changed a lot making Armas' task a bit less complicated. The only major departure was that of Piatti, opening a Designated Player spot. The fact that the team remained the same will be TFC's advantage but on the other hand everyone on the team is a year older and, especially for players like Altidore who is heading to 32, this may be a more important factor considering the fatigue throughout the season.

Target

TFC's target every season cannot be less than qualifying to the Conference Finals no matter if there is a happy end or not
