Stabæk had a mostly forgettable last season in which the lack of consistency and enough attacking firepower prevented them from really having a run for the top six and never really moved from mid-table obscurity. Jan Jonsson will be once again focusing on ensuring that his side maintain a basic level of competence and keep their heads firmly above the bottom six places first and foremost. Otherwise, it is difficult to be too ambitious in terms of expectations for this Stabæk side as they lost their main midfield anchorman Emil Bohinen and have not really replaced him so far. Markus Solbakken is expected to become his main replacement, having developed as one of the top players in the second division last year. As usual, they will give chances to their academy players and some of them could make the leap, namely Stural Ottesen and Oliver Edvardssen, but as a whole there is not enough tangible quality in this team to expect anything more than a finish in the lower mid-table.

Target

Aiming for a position in mid-table.
