Enjoyed a strong 3rd placed finish last season. Started poorly under manager Goodwin but a switch to new coach Robson helped the team improve form. They finished the season well with a revamped defence providing a strong base. Lopes impressed up front with a good goal tally. Pre-season has seen a number of key additions in important positions. Quality loanees like Clarkson and Shinnie also return on permanent deals and provide consistency. But the loss of important midfielder McCrorie could make things a little difficult for Aberdeen. Aberdeen will be hopeful of another strong season. They have maintained squad consistency and will be confident after their last successful campaign. Aberdeen's forward line will be a threat to most opposition in the league. Lopes and Miovski were potent last season. Now they are backed up by new signing Sokler. A good mix of pace and technical ability gives Aberdeen an edge up front. The goalkeeping slot could be an area of weakness. Aberdeen relied on loan keepers last season. New addition Doohan looks promising but is unproven at this level.
