Kilmarnock scraped survival on their return to the top flight. They often struggled to score goals and lacked creativity. But they were relatively consistent throughout the season and eventually finished 6 points clear of the drop, also performing well in cup campaigns. Lots of transfer action has helped to freshen up the squad. Many older players have departed and a handful of new signings should improve the team. Goalkeeper O'Hara is a good addition, while Kennedy and Magennis boost midfield. Pre-season results have been positive. Kilmarnock have a strong and experienced back line. They defended well last season and the addition of a solid keeper will help them to remain solid at the back. The team looks a little weak up front. After relying too much on Armstrong for goals last season, they have done little to fix the problem. New striker Watkins does not have the best of goalscoring records and the team are still lacking a consistent finisher. After a good pre-season, Kilmarnock will be hopeful of another good campaign. They have kept a consistent base from last campaign and seem relatively confident under manager Mcinnes.

Target

8th. A solid improvement from last season would keep the fans happy and help the club build towards the future.
