Finally managed a top 6 finish after coming close in recent seasons. Team played very well under new manager Robinson and were very strong in home games. Narrowly missed out on European qualification after qualifying for the top 6. Top goalscorer Main departed in the summer, along with important defenders Gallagher and Shaughnessy. Keeper Carson seems to be on his way out too. New strikers Nahmani, Mandron and McMenamin seem promising, while Hemming is a good replacement in goal. After a strong League Cup group campaign, St Mirren look likely to have another good season. They kept most of their squad together while making a few good additions. New signings have impressed in early games. St Mirren are well organised and are effective defensively. Their style of play uses wingbacks very well. Strong central players give the team a solid core. The likes of Taylor, Flynn and O'Hara all provide good options. Team could be slightly weak up front. New strikers will need to adjust quickly. Squad also lacks wide players to provide good service to the forwards. Makes the team a little predictable and lacking in options.
