Started last campaign poorly as team continued to struggle scoring goals. A 6 match losing run early on caused major issues. Looked close to relegation until a late managerial change saw form improve. Transfer action has seen the squad weakened so far. Lots of squad players have left with only two new signings arriving. New keeper Mitov is a solid acquisition and striker Jephcott could offer some much needed goalscoring strength. Some extremely poor performances in pre-season and League Cup have the squad lacking confidence. They lost heavily to lower league opponents and are weak in defence. Their new manager MacLean may lack the experience to motivate his squad. Some solid midfielders could provide a strong presence in the centre if used well. Carey and Crawford both have good strength and workrate and could help to get the better of opponents in key areas. Team is very weak in defence. They have a lack of individual ability and are poorly organised. Forward line is poor too, with a lack of finishing ability. Players like May are low quality for the league and there are a lack of options to provide cover.

Target

8th. With things looking worrying in pre-season, avoiding relegation will be seen as a great success.
