Last season was extremely successful for Celtic with the club sealing a domestic treble. They only lost 3 league games all season and were dominant in all domestic competitions. However, they were disappointing in Europe, finishing without a single win from their group stage. Highly successful manager Postecoglou departed in pre-season. He was replaced by former coach Brendan Rodgers. New signings from Asia and Europe provide a strong boost to the squad, although important attacking player Jota departed. Things are looking good for another successful season. Promising players have arrived on permanent deals while most of the first team remains intact. Their new manager has been successful with the club before and knows what is needed for another strong season. An excellent forward line is an area of strength for Celtic. The likes of Furuhashi and Maeda provide a major threat against any opposing defence. Celtic have a very strong squad overall with no signs of weakness. But they will need to settle quickly into a new coaching style if they are going to be successful.

Target

Further domestic victory will be top of the list for Celtic. They need to maintain top spot in the League while performing strongly in cups. Rangers will provide stiff competition. A better performance in Europe is necessary too, following the last campaign's disappointing end.
