Hannover had a difficult season last year particularly with the number of games they had to play and by the end of the season their squad was incredibly tired and they had significant injury worries. Many of the players that were troubled last year have left including a few older members of the squad such as Sergio Pinto and Mohammed Abdellaoue who the manager decided are now too old to featuring at the top level. Additionally Konstantin Rausch and Mario Eggiman have moved on which could be a miss for them as they both played important roles last year for Slomka's side. They have brought in some new players with midfield talents Edgar Prib and Leonardo Bittencourt coming in with Salif Sane also brought in to strengthen the central area. They have added a couple of younger players and promoted some from the youth team but this year had the distinct feeling of clearing out some of the unwanted players. This could mean that Hannover will have to go through something of a transition this year and they will probably not challenge for the top six come the end of the season though if they get on form they may have a chance. Less fixtures should suit them as they were punching above their weight previously but a top half finish should still be achievable.

Target

They have an outside chance of finishing in the European places but will settle for a solid finish in he top half.
