The 2017 season turned out to be a huge success for Corinthians. Fabio Carille's men had to deal with pressure at the start of the campaign due to their disappointing seventh spot in 2016, but the side from Sao Paulo coped well with the situation. Carille's outfit managed to seal their second title in the space of three years eventually, which was quite an achievement. These results did influence the winter period as several regulars left the club to test their qualities on a different level. Key striker Jo, for instance, left Brazil again to play for Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan. The 31-year old striker will surely be missed as he managed to bag eighteen goals in the Serie A last season. Defender Guilherme Arana made the switch to Sevilla and Carille will need to form a new outfit for the upcoming season as a result. Corinthians shopped in the Serie A to strengthen their side and several new players will get the opportunity now to test their skills at the highest level. Forming a new quality side will be the main objective during the first weeks of the season, but the fans will expect more. Carille has already proved that he's capable of forming a title contender and Corinthians will be one of the favourites again with that in mind.

Target


Corinthians have won it all and they have everything to lose this season. Sealing the title will be the main goal this year, but it will be extremely difficult to top past seasons' achievements.
