AFC Telford survived by the skin of their teeth on their first season since promotion and now the aim for the Bucks is to consolidate themselves and enjoy a much more stress-free campaign. The team from Shropshire was too unsettled and lacking goal threat for big stages of last season and now Andy Sinton seems to have learned his lesson as he is keeping a tighter squad this time around and will hope that they build a stronger core and avoid the problems from last season. However, Sinton has lost some good players like Sean Newton and Shane Killock in the summer while the replacements have hardly filled the fans with too much confidence. Michael Briscoe is a solid presence at the back but Jake Reid and Kieron St Aimie are not the strikers that will solve the problems going forward. Thus, Chris Sharp is likely to take most of the load once again with Sinton hoping that veteran Steve Jones catch form and keep himself fit for most of the season. Overall, there is little reason to be optimistic if you are a Telford fan at the moment and they could face some trouble keeping themselves clear of the drop zone.

Target

It will be a struggle to steer clear of danger with the current squad and Sinton will need to get a few more players to ensure another season in the top-flight.
