Ebbsfleet did quite well last season to comfortably secure safety amid a very low budget and constant struggle to have 16 fit and available players for the game. Liam Daish has been an absolutely monumental in keeping the team afloat and the experienced manager will be aiming for more of the same stability and consistency having recently celebrated ten years in charge of the Kent outfit. Daish lost some fine players during the summer as Michael West departed for Crewe having consistently upped his game in the last three seasons. Callum Willock and Ricky Shakes departed too but at least Liam Marum is staying put having originally chosen to reject a contract and link up with Stevenage. The move fell through though and the striker will continue with the Fleet having scored 13 goals last season. The summer signings include Moses Ashikodi and Nathan Elder who are expected to compensate the departures of West and Willock while Patrick Ada will provide muscularity and grit at the back. Overall, the squad seems adequate for staying up and safe mid-table existence. The worry would be if an injury crisis hits Daish's men as he has very few good options to choose from if his key players are out. Still, his expertise and know-how should once again see the Fleet safe.

Target

Playing some decent football and staying free of the danger zone. Lower mid-table beckons again.
