Alfreton start their second season in the top-flight of the Conference hoping to beat the drop again and continue their consolidation at this level. Nicky Law and his side struggled badly for big stages of the previous season but staged a superb recovery in the last couple of months and at the end were pretty comfortable in securing safety. The way Law rallied the troops when they looked down and out was really impressive and the manager will rely on the work ethic and dedication of his side to pull them out of trouble again. The team is lacking in flair and technical quality but they give their best on the pitch and more of the same will be expected in the coming season. Signings have been far and few but Daniel Bradley is a capable all-round midfield and will complement well with Anton Brown. Nathan Jarman is off to Gainsborough though and the question mark is who will be getting the goals as neither Paul Clayton, nor Anthony Wilson are too prolific in front of goal. The squad is still in the process of completing as a few more bodies are needed but Alfreton will be once again tough to beat and rely on their speedy wingers to surprise teams. It should be enough to see them safe at the end of the season.

Target

Securing safety is the main objective and Nicky Law looks capable of delivering again.
