Tamworth begin the season looking to improve on their previous campaign and hopefully avoid being dragged into the relegation mire once again. The Lambs were never really in danger of being dragged down last season but were on a very poor run from January onwards and were almost lucky that the season finished that quickly. Marcus Law is a progressive manager who encourages the team to play decent football but he failed to keep the motivation levels and will hope that his men are up for it and fired up for the season ahead. He lost some important players like Paul Green and Jonathan Hedge but Marcus Kelly and Adam Cunnington have joined having worked with Law before at Kettering and are good players at this level. Peter Till is an able winger too while Lee Hendrie is hoping to recapture some of his old form having gone from club to club over the last couple of years. The issue for the Lambs is that it is unrealistic to expect a play-off push and they are once again likely to drop off if they are able to secure enough points early. Therefore, a place in the lower mid-table is the most likely outcome for the Midlands club and if they are not careful they could be dragged into the mire.

Target

The Lambs might be able to make a good challenge for the upper half of the table but in reality are likely to try to steer clear of danger
